Meet our Staff

Each and every one of our staff is committed to providing the best possible care for your pet. We never forget they are a member of your family and the care we provide reflects this.

We have an extremely low turnover of employees – on average staff stay with us for 10 years, several have been with us since we opened our first surgery more than 30 years ago. So should your pet become ill, your favourite vet or nurse is always on hand to help.

Our Veterinary Team

Headed by managing partners, Tony Cowie, Duncan Blackburn and Paul Lawrence, all our vets are professionally trained and dedicated to animal welfare. Some spend their holiday time volunteering for animal charities overseas or raising funds for organisations in the UK.

Our Nursing Team

As well as supporting our busy vets, Coastway nurses also run their own clinics. Many join us as trainees and once fully trained, choose to stay at Coastway and run their own pet care clinics.

Jobs & Training

As a growing practice we often recruit new vets. We are also a recognised nurses training centre for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, allowing you to train and study at the same time.
