Featured Pet - Leon, the Cat that thinks it’s a dog!
Ever heard of Maine Coons? Well they're one of the biggest and most popular breed of cats in the world and Leon is a great example of one. At only 10 months old, he’s already an impressive 90cm from his nose to tip of his tail and weighs a whopping 6.5kg. He’ll probably keep growing until the age of 4 and could easily reach an impressive 10kg -12kg.
They have a luxurious thick shaggy coat and a tail that is often longer than the cat itself. These beautiful cats are gentle giants and enjoy the company of people and other cats. Unusually they love water and will often play with toys in their water bowls. Seen as the most dog-like of all cats, they can be taught to play fetch and like clever Leon, will even sit and stand on command.
If you’ve the room for a giant cat in your life, find out more about Main Coons at www.ilikecats.co.uk/breeds/maine-coon.
