First Aid Classes for pets

If your pet was injured in a car accident, would you know how to stabilise it before getting it to your vet? Most people wouldn’t, which is why we run a monthly emergency first aid course for pets. Our classes are held in the evening at our Kemp Town surgery. Each class lasts about 2 ½ hours and covers a range of common first aid situations. The classes are interactive with lots of time for questions and answers and include practical demonstrations on resuscitation and cardiac massage. Everyone receives a detailed first aid handout to take home at the end of the night.

The classes explain what to do in the event of:

• A road traffic accident
• Poisoning
• Bleeding
• Electrocution
• Adder bites and insect stings
