Our Nurses
The backbone to an efficient and caring practice is the veterinary nurse. At Coastway
we are proud to have one of the best teams of nurses around. They provide essential
support to our vets in every aspect of care we provide.
They also run their own clinics from each of our surgeries where they perform routine
procedures, including post-operative checks and care. If you are worried about any
aspect of your pet’s health and are unsure if you 'need to bother the vet', phone
in and arrange a nurse appointment. Nurses Clinics are an ideal opportunity for
you to talk about diet, worming, flea control etc, and apart from any diet or medication
dispensed, they are usually free!
Our nurses also run our free health clubs for us. These regular sessions allow them
to monitor and assess the health of older pets, or those who are over weight. Find
out more about our Weight Watchers and Seniors Clubs.
Coastway is a training centre for Royal College of Veterinary
Surgeons for student veterinary nurses. This means nurses can train, and
be assessed by us while working towards their professional qualification.
