Coastway Lewes, Portslade, Woodingdean and Rottingdean are now closed following the recent government directive. Coastway Brighton, Shoreham and Telscombe are closed for routine appointments, but are still seeing emergency cases. We’ve made these difficult changes to our service to keep our staff and you, our clients safe. As well as caring for your pets, it is essential that we keep our practice team safe and healthy. This is critical for two reasons. Firstly simply to keep us all safe, and secondly, we rely on them to maintain a functional team to provide urgent care for your pets should they need it.
If you do need an emergency appointment, call your usual surgery and our teams will advise you on our new practice protocols.
Most essential consultations are being carried out remotely, using email and the telephone. We will explain how this works when you call us. For those cases that need to be seen, when you arrive at our surgeries, call us from the outside and wait there or in your car if you have one, until we come to you. Your pet will be collected and the consultation will be done over the phone. You will need to stay outside the building.
If we ask you to come into the surgery, we will ask you to keep two meters between you and any of our team members or any other clients. Look for the marks on the floor to help assess the distance and do not cross them. When inside please make sure you use the hand sanitisers available at entering and leaving. We have removed any non-critical furniture, leaflets and chairs. Please do not move anything and respect the two meter marks.
We will ask you to pay by card over the telephone, we may even ask you to do this prior to your visit.
If you are ill or self-isolating you should not visit the practice. Call us so we can find the best solution for your pet. We may offer video consultation, we will discuss options when you call us for an appointment.
We thank you for your cooperation during those difficult times.
