It’s been several weeks since the lockdown started and we thought you might be interested to see and hear a bit about how things are behind the scenes here at Coastway.
As you’ll already know, following government advice we had to close our doors to all non-urgent cases to help protect the health of our staff and you, our clients during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our Brighton, Shoreham and Telscombe branches are the only sites open and our services have had to change to accommodate the social distancing guidelines.
We are doing a lot of our work by phone, providing help and advice when needed and offering telephone consultations with our vets. These are proving really popular and our teams are busy with consultations throughout the day. Wherever possible pets that need repeat prescriptions are having these posted without the need for a face to face review with a vet.
Emergency cases are the only clients that we are still seeing in the surgery and apart from social distancing, these are being handled as always.
Surgeries are still taking place and pets that need hospitalisation are still receiving 24 hour care at our hospital. Our staff have been amazing during this crisis, they have embraced our new service protocols, keen to continue putting the needs of our pets, first. Thank you to them and to you, our clients for being so understanding when we haven’t been able to provide the services you’ve come to expect and for your patience while we set up our new services.
As always, if your pet needs help, even if you are sick, call us and we will find a way to help. Keep well, the Coastway Vets Team.
