Continuity of care

Each and every one of our vets and nurses are committed to providing the best possible care for your pet. We never forget they are a member of your family and the respectful care we provide reflects this. We have an extremely low turnover of team members, some have spent their entire working lives with us, joining Coastway Vets when we opened our first surgery more than 40 years ago. Our continuity of team members means that should your pet become ill, your favourite vet or nurse is always on hand to help.

Our dedicated vets

Headed by Clinical Directors Paul Lawrence, Celine Le Rochais, David James and Jenny Hill, all our vets are professionally trained to the highest standards and dedicated to animal welfare. Many spend their free time volunteering for animal charities like Street Vet, or raising funds for welfare organisations in the UK. All our vets are required to continue their learning throughout their careers with us, attending Continual Professional Development (CPD) talks and assessments. This keeps them at the front edge of veterinary knowledge and developments, so you know your pet is receiving the best possible care for their needs.

Our nurses and their clinics

The backbone to an efficient and caring practice is the veterinary nurse. At Coastway we are proud to have sone of the best teams of nurses around. They provide essential support to our vets in every aspect of care we provide and run their own popular Nurse Clinics. These are offered at each of our local surgeries and are ideal for routine procedures, as well as post-operative checks and care. Nurses Clinics also give you the opportunity to talk about diet, worming, flea control and any minor behaviour issues you may have.

If you are worried about any aspect of your pet’s health and are unsure if you need to bother the vet, call your local surgery and ask for a nurse appointment.
