Booking to see a vet

To see one of our vets, apart from in an emergency, you first need to register with us. You can do this over the phone with one of our receptionists, or in person at your local surgery. When you make an appointment you can book to see whichever vet you prefer at any of our surgeries. Fees are payable at the end of each appointment, our receptionists will prepare your bill for you.

If your pet is booked in for a procedure or surgery, when you bring them in, you will be asked to sign consent forms. These may also give you the option to ask for extra pre-operative checks to help assist with their surgery and treatment. One of our team will run through these with you on the day and answer any questions you may have.  If you’d like to read through these forms before you come in, you can download them here.

Local surgeries

Clinic times for our Brighton surgery and our local branches differ slightly and are shown below and on each local surgery page.

Emergency Vet

Our emergency vet service is based at our Brighton Veterinary Hospital in Kemp Town and opens every night and weekend, as soon as our daytime surgeries close. Emergency vet appointments can be made by calling on 01273 621682.

Prices

If you are booking a routine appointment with us, we’ll be able to give you an idea of costs payable at the time. You can ask the vet for the price of any necessary medicines, treatment or therapies during your appointment. Sometimes during surgery for instance, there may be unexpected costs due to your pet’s response to treatment, we try to keep these to a minimum and wherever possible will contact you to obtain consent for them at the time.

"I’VE BEEN USING COASTWAY VETS FOR YEARS AS I CAN USUALLY SEE THE SAME VET EACH TIME I VISIT. IT'S REASSURING FOR MY CAT AND FOR ME, AS HE KNOWS US REALLY WELL."
