Our Brighton cattery is the only one in the city run by vets and is on site at our Brighton veterinary hospital. It’s recently been awarded five stars by the licensing department at Brighton & Hove City Council for our high standards of care and bespoke facilities. Choosing Coastway Cattery for your cat means that you can be sure it will have the best holiday experience possible during its stay with us.
Being based in the centre of Brighton means it’s just a short journey to us from most homes and our modern, spacious pens are comfortable for individuals and family groups. Our cattery has been purpose built to board cats in comfort, our standard walk-in pens are head height and roomy enough for two cats from the same household to board if desired. We also offer larger family pens suitable for three cats to comfortably share. The entire cattery is air-conditioned for your cats’ comfort and we offer menu choices perfect for most appetites, including prescription diets.
The coronavirus pandemic hasn’t just affected the way we provide veterinary care, it has also unfortunately lead to the closure of our Coastway cattery.
The current travel limitations and uncertainties regarding the holiday industry have meant that people are having to rethink vacations for this year and are putting travel plans on hold. Because of the lack of demand for cattery stays and the on-going issues with social distancing, we’ve decided to close our cattery.
We’d like to thank all our loyal clients who used us over the last few years, we’ll miss you all.
If your cat needs medical boarding, there’s no better cattery for them than ours. Sharing our building with Coastway Vets’ emergency veterinary service, means unlike other boarding catteries across Sussex, we have the reassurance of on site veterinary assistance, 24-hours a day. Our veterinary staff also give every cat a free health check prior to boarding to look for signs of infection.
Board your cat with us and it will benefit from a high staff to cat ratio, guaranteeing it lots of one-to-one attention and plenty of playtime. We can offer this as we only board a maximum of 20 cats at any time, allowing us to provide a high quality of care for your pet.
Cat’s can be dropped off and collected from us from 9.30-11am and between 3-5pm.
Our current prices are £14 a day for a single cat, £22.25 for two cats sharing and £30 for three cats in one of our large family pens.
There’s a 50% surcharge for bank holidays and an extra £2 per day for cats meeting oral medications or tablets giving during their stay.
Any cats that need a high level of medical care, including daily injections are charged an extra £5 a day. If your cat is on any medication, please ensure you provide us with enough for the duration of their stay.
