Accredited cat friendly surgeries

As a practice we are members of the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) which means we aim to be sensitive to the specific needs of cats while in the surgery and prioritise their welfare. Some of our local surgeries have achieved a high level of accreditation with the ISFM thanks to their bespoke facilities and trained staff. But regardless of the individual level of accreditation, all our staff prioritise the needs of our feline visitors and will do everything they can to make their visit as stress free as possible.

Coastway Shoreham has achieved the silver accreditation and is a designated Cat Friendly Clinic under the ISFM scheme, which covers everything from the way our staff handle your cat, to our waiting areas and in-patient facilities.

Our Kemp Town surgery has an exclusive cat and small furries waiting room with high shelves for cat baskets to minimise the stress for cats while they wait to be seen. We have separate treatment rooms for cats too and cat-only wards and treatment areas for in-patients, to give them the quiet needed for recovery.

If you’ve any questions on cat friendly facilities at your local surgery, speak to our reception team who will be happy to advise you.
